Korea Blockchain 2022 — Places To Go In Between Conferences

I took a look at Korea Blockchain 2022 Side Event List. There are a lot of events happening in Seoul from 08/01 to 08/13. I'll try to update this page everyday. There are so many places to visit in Seoul so this list will always be incomplete ✨

the most important — let's talk about food 🍲

The official Korea Blockchain Week's main event – "IMPACT" is happening on 08/08 and 08/09. It's held at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas which is connected to both Starfield COEX Mall and Parnas Mall so if you want to avoid sweating in this hot weather, but want to eat yummy food at the same time, you can do that 😊.

Little fun fact about me that no one asked for — I grew up in South Korea until I was about 14 and I lived very close to COEX Mall (my parents still live near there). When I was about 11 or 12, I often skipped school and went to COEX Mall instead. I hated school so much when I was young. I got in a lot of trouble. Anyway, I love that place. I always make sure to visit COEX Mall whenever I'm back in Korea. It brings me back all the fun memories of skipping school and feeling like a badass girl.

I'm using this map to collect all the places I mention in this blog post for KBW's IMPACT.

dimdimsum "딤딤섬 파르나스몰점"

Hong Kong "originated dim sum restaurant with a focus on delivering original taste of Hong Kong to Korea". dimdimsum has a few locations in Seoul including Parnas mall. dimdimsum was listed as one of the best dim sum in Hong Kong on Timeout.

It's going to be hard to find it in google or naver map since it's at the lower level (inside of the Parnas mall). I recommend checking out their mall's guide map here. dimdimsum's retail number is #41.

Blogger Jin Sun wrote a great review on dimdimsum — expect to wait in line... Jin Sun mentioned in her blog that she waited for an hour to be seated. However, the food was so good, it was worth the wait. Checkout all the pictures in her blog post. Pictures below are from her blog.

Sushi Tsukamu "스시 츠카무"

My first experience with the conveyor belt sushi was when I was about 5 years old in Japan. I wasn't aware that the prices were based on the color of the dish the sushi was on. I think I grabbed way too many dishes thinking it was a buffet. What a fun memory.

Butai

"Butai" means "stage" in Japanese. This one is located 2 blocks away from the conference. Expect up to an hour wait if visiting during peak hours. They're known for their fat katsu, katsu sandwich, soba, and dry udon.

[08/03 — 08/07] Seoul Hacker House (솔라나 서울 해커하우스) at S Factory in Seongdong-gu

Solana's Seoul Hacker House's location, Seongdong-gu, has some amazing unique small business restaurants and cafes. If you’re into Kpop, SMTOWN museum is within walking distance. Seoul Forest Park is also located here if you want to enjoy nature in a busy city like Seoul. This is a really great spot to be in so let’s dive into what kind of food Seongdong-gu offers.

Seoul Angmusae "서울 앵무새"
